Pop-Up Series, Los Angeles – 01 Gallery

01 GALLERY has been showing contemporary art for over 25 years. The gallery is well known throughout the world and has been featured in articles everywhere from Los Angeles to New York City to Japan and even Budapest. Over its long history 01 Gallery has been frequented by Los Angeles residents such as Anthony Keidis, David Lee Roth, Perry Ferrell, Raymond Pettibon and John Belushi to name a few. This diverse clientele has lead 01 Gallery to be thought of as analogous to Andy Warhol’s Factory. “Its eccentric mix of artists and patrons made it [Los Angeles’] answer to the Factory...”

Brandon Coburn organized a series of Pop Up Exhibitions for 01 Gallery starting in December of 2007 lasting for about 2 years. Since the re-opening the new gallery was successful in hosting several events at various locations in downtown Los Angeles and the Lower East Side of New York City.
